The second winner of our Home Loans Mortgage Sweepstakes has been announced, and the lucky contestant is Irene from New Jersey.
The radio announcer, Scott from Star 99.1 FM, called Irene on the phone to deliver the exciting news. Irene was ecstatic to win, saying “I just can’t believe it, this is unbelievable that God would provide for us in this way. I broke my scapula, and to have our mortgage paid for really helps.”
Scott then asked her how she might use the saved money to pamper herself a bit, given she is still healing. Irene had the answer immediately; she said without hesitation that she would use the saved money to bring her family together.
“Our children live further away, one in Virginia, one is in the coast guard and the other is in the army in Texas, so being able to bring them home would be a really big blessing for us, to have our family together.”
Even though the winners of the sweepstakes feel blessed, we feel just as blessed hearing their touching stories and the wonderful ways they will use this opportunity. It’s inspiring to hear how Irene is paying it forward, by using her blessing to bless her loved ones.
Some last words of kindness from Irene, in a thank you letter she wrote afterwards:
‘Thank you so much Mike and Brian and everyone at Fellowship Home Loans, for the blessing that you have bestowed upon us with paying our mortgage for 4 months. As the Lord has blessed us through your generous giving, we will be doing the same and pass the blessing forward to our local church, Star 99.1 and our family along with any other opportunity the Lord brings to us.
May the Lord receive all the glory for the blessings He has granted.’
